Hello Juls. THANK YOU so much for the insightful comments on my Philippine Weekend blog entry. I hope you don't mind but you've just connected you and me for life! I'm going to use you as an example of the hypocrisy of Filipino women. (I used to do Speech & Debate in high school and college and I ALWAYS have proof to my arguments!) This is better than hearsay and I will be forever grateful that you shared that with me.

Hiya Juls. I'm hoping to avoid the whole shorts and capri thing and zoom right through August into a cool September. I have a research job that means sitting at a desk all of August, so except for looking ok, I don't have to dress up. It's a white linen shirt and rolled up jeans for the next 28 days...
But it's nice to hear I'm not the only one mentally cursing out the women in front of me on the sidewalk who are totally unacquainted with the whole concept of cellulite.

DISGUSTED!
Sep 4, 2010

Ok, I need to rant about something off topic. I'm trying to plan a b-day party for my son's 5th b-day. I booked a local moonbounce party place for next Sunday. I put out over 30 invitations and so far only 7 kids can make it. I could just cry!
The same thing happened last year. I know Sept. is a busy month for most. The place is very expensive and they allow up to 20 kids per party. I've only gotten 11 RSVP's and the deadline is tomorrow. What is wrong with people, why can't they have the courtesy to RSVP? Meanwhile the place is calling me for the final payment. Part of the problem is that Connor has only 1 little cousin but he lives in Missouri. Most of our friends had kids young so their kids are now pre-teen. We live in a neighborhood that has hardly any kids. The 2 that were invited are going to be out of town that weekend. The only friends he has are his daycare friends that he has been with since he was 15 months. I was hoping we would get at least a dozen kids. I'm really upset over this. My husband told me to calm down. The 7 kids that can make it are some of his best buddies at daycare. My husband said that Connor would have fun even if only 2 of his buddies were there. I know I'm probably acting stupid about all of this but I feel like we spent a lot of money to rent the place for only 8 kids total. Has anyone out there ever had this happen? How did your child handle it? Did it work out? Did your child have a good time anyway?

BTW, I've been off the wagon. I can't stand how inconsistant I am. I'm not getting on the scale. I don't think it's too bad as my clothes are still fitting fine. I'm thinking I may be up just a couple of lbs. I started back counting WW points today and will go for a nice walk later.

Yippee!

Weighed in at 189.4 this morning!!! Heading up to York, Pa today to spend a day with friends. My son is really excited because they have a pool and he loves playing with their sons who are 6 and 4. I will feel better in my bathing suit today.

It's a good day

The weather is beautiful here today. 80 degrees with much lower humidity than we've been having. I went to the trail for a walk this morning. I've decided I want to do one day per week where I do more than my usual 30-45 min of cardo. So I walked 5.12 miles. It took me 1 hour and 43 min. Not bad considering on the way back I thought I was going to die! The trail is kind of hilly so there were a few times I thought my hamstrings were going to pop!!!! Next I'm going to plan my menu for the week. I'm gonna look thru my recipe books for some new ideas. I've been counting my WW points religiously. I can't wait to get on the scale tomorrow to see the results. I'm feeling thinner.
