Diet Plan: My portions are out of control & my overall diet is terrible. I plan to increase my natural foods, stop eating out so often and just get back to eating the sensible portions and healthy snacking.
Exercise Plan: To walk with my boys at least once a day, at the mall,park, around-the-block whatever I can get in!!Also go to the gym and utilize my classes. Get back to my strength training so that I can keep up with my two very small active sons.
Mental State: really motivated - this time I'm going to lose the weight for sure!!

Turn your body into a fat burning machine with strength training. Cardio is just a temporary way to burn calories. For every 1lbs of muscle in your body your burn 50 calories at rest (watching t.v., driving, etc)

Pretty embarrassing actually i fell at work i tripped over a coat rack and sprained my ankle. It really sucks because i was on a roll before it happened i had lost 14 lbs (which by the way have gained back 2 lbs) and then the injury of a life time happened i wasnt allowed to do anything for 4 weeks but this week i have jumped back on the band wagon and the ball is rolling again its getting it started that is the hard part!!! Thanks so much for the comment!!!! No im not from vegas we were just there for a visit it was totally amazing we had tons of fun!!!!(and drank way too much!!) write me any time!!! How old are your boys???

Hi J! Love your pictures, I can see the weight loss in just one month! You look great!
I'm glad you like it here! It's great that you're blogging -- blogging and leaving comments for others is one of the best ways to get involved and ensure that others will come and leave you some encouragement! Glad you joined the challenge too!
My daughters are a bit older now but they are 18 months apart and when they were younger I tried really hard to find way to exercise that I could do WITH them or at least while I was watching them. Some of my favorites were going to the beach and running around in the surf with them (instead of sitting on a towel eating chips!) and doing yoga or exercise videos with them -- they thought that was so fun! It made it fun for me to watch them!

WELCOME! This is a wonderful place and I hope you find some great encouragement.

Yes...I lost all the weight doing WW...but what that breaks down to is eating healthy portions with the right amount of water, dairy, and fruits/veggies. I too had to cut out real soda...and for one full year I didn't drink diet either. I drink diet now but I find when I am doing that I am not drinking enough water. I recommend tracking every single bit of food or soda you place in your mouth...I think you will be surprised at what one actually eats in a single day...and the only way to see 100% of what you eat is to write it down.

"I love love love pepsi and after a vacation with my mother I had some of her Liptons Diet Citrus Green tea Yum yum... I have completely replace pepsi with it and am no longer drinking 6-8 sodas a day I think it has really helped, the headaches were hard but I don't crave it anymore! It is great!"

I am really loving this site, it is really inspriational... even if I don't blog everyday I enjoy getting on here and reading that all of you are doing so well and it gives me the hope that I can actually get to my goal and not just "someday" but SOON! (o; I have been walking with my boys, actually the same day I started we went to the park and my 2 year old spent 2 hours with me walking... I was shocked he walked instead of hopping in the stroller with his 1year old brother! So that completed my goal for this week but I have continued to walk for 20+min each day I think today I may take off cause I have also been really good on portions and not eating out! (o; I couldn't do it with out your guys tips and reading how well you all are doing! Thank you so much guys... let's all keep going!!

So here I am after surfing the web I stumbled upon this site... looks like a great place for support! I have recently relocated to the hot Las Vegas and even though a lot of people say I don't look 170 I am.... it's very hard to keep up with my 1 & 2yr old boys and I am tired of being depressed after a shopping period. I am 24 going to be 25 next month so I have been at this for a month, so far cut out my Pepsi obsession )6-8 cans a day!!-see my tips) and have limited my portions to healthy standards, in about 5-6 wks I have lost 8 lbs. Well wish me luck, I really want to get this tummy slimmer (o;
