Sep 23, 2009 My hand really did miss your hand, but it's back. All four fingers. And one thumbs-up. |

running... again I was so proud of myself last fall for running regularly. Kept it up until March this year (2010) then I fell, landed on my hand and broke 3 fingers. :-( |

running?!? Who ME??? I always hated running because I get a really big stitch in my side. I've gotten tons of advice on how to avoid that: |

Jumping Rope Thanks to Funplex whose blog about jumping rope made me realize I've been going at it the wrong way. I was trying to jump rope as my whole workout which worked okay when I was just starting - 3 minutes a day I'd tell myself. But I'd add another minute every few days and pretty soon I'd be at 10 minutes was too much for me. |

Yikes-three broken fingers. hope it wasn't your dominant hand. Glad to hear you are back to running though! I did my first jog three days ago in a long time and it was great. I love running especially when the weather is perfect for it.
Why can't you run with broken fingers? I'm so glad that you are back to running. I'm sure it feels great to get back on track!!!
Glad you are back running! Don't let the fear of breaking something paralyze you into not doing something that is going to help your body anyway. Good Job!
Good for you! :)
Carly2008: luckily, it was not my dominant hand.
Kristinannie: I think the issue was potentially falling again; falling with the cast on could break my arm around it, and the cast was only on for 3 weeks so bones were "knitted" but not strong enough to handle a moderate jarring.
